I have way too many relatives in Taiwan. Today I went out to eat with my aunt that lives in Taipei. She has some walking disability, so we could only stay in one small area of Taipei, walking distance of course. Luckily she lives close to the main core, hot spots, like Taipei 101. My cousin lives very close to my sister's apartment (I stay at my sister's place while in Taiwan) literally 1 minute away. She lives in the apartment building next door! I walked over to her place and then off we went to my aunt's place by taking the MRT. What is MRT? It stands for Metropolitan Rapid Transit, map here. She doesn't live far from us, it took us maybe 10 minutes by transit to her house. We walked to a quite cafe to have lunch where nightmare begins. They started asking me all these questions about my mother at home (Canada). Nobody in my dad's side of the family likes my mother... and it's for a reason, in fact, a VERY good reason. Well, because of the hatred, they like to talk shit about my mother, and I just had to be put in the middle of everything, like always. Why do I have to suffer through this? After maybe 2 hours of talk, excluding meal time, we finally left that cafe and walked to my favorite building in Taiwan - Taipei 101. Not a very good day though, rainny.
